A Bit About Us

Joy and Sham left London in 2018 to follow their dream: to find a run-down finca, bring it back to life, and turn it into a home and a place to welcome guests.

They discovered the perfect spot two years earlier, a neglected but characterful finca on the edge of a small village, rural yet not remote. The renovation began with making the main house habitable before the outbuildings were replaced with three private, en-suite guest rooms.

Joy designed La Pluma with a balance of modern comforts and rustic charm, blending local architecture with an eclectic, luxe Balearic aesthetic. The swimming pool was positioned to capture the sweeping views of mountains and olive groves, with ancient trees providing pockets of shade, perfect for lingering over a book or a drink.

At the heart of the property lies the Moorish-style courtyard, a secluded oasis where guests can unwind in total privacy. Thoughtfully designed, each guest room ensures a peaceful retreat, with no awkward run-ins as you come and go. Hosting at La Pluma is intentionally laid-back. Joy and Sham are there when you need them but never intrusive, letting you engage on your own terms.
